Kenneth Melvin Sims

Kenneth Melvin Sims, 65, passed away February 6, 2025, at his home in Wolcottville, IN. He was born June 30, 1959, in Fort Wayne, IN, the son of the late, Kenneth Blair Sims and Sondra Glenora (nee Murray) Taylor.

Kenneth formerly worked at Falstaff Brewery, HH Gregg, Supreme Corp and currently at KIK (aka) Voyant Beauty as a forklift operator and Lead shift in the warehouse. He was a former Volunteer Fireman with the Johnson Twp Fire Department in Lagrange County.

He enjoyed riding his Harley with his son, and loved the 4th of July and creating memories with his family, sharing his passion for pyrotechnics and amazing fireworks displays.

Kenneth is survived by his son, Matthew (Toni) Sims of Fort Wayne, IN; siblings, Sharisse (Charlie) Cabrera of Elk Grove, CA; Diana (Robin) Smith of Wolcottville, IN; Jim (Missy) Sims of Fort Wayne, IN; June (William) Hembree of Aurora, MO; Lori (Hank) Pelt of Lakeland, FL; grandchildren, Maddi, Keegan, Makiah, Kaylor, Chris, Aaron, Nick and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Sue (nee Maroney) Sims, and Bear.
