Connie, as she was known, was a daughter of the late Frank Phillips, and mother, Garland (nee. Miller) Phillips-Flickinger.
She volunteered in the gift shop at Parkview Hospital for over 23 years retiring in 2003. She was a member of Coventry Baptist Church where she was very active.
She took great joy in feeding the birds and loved her canine friends, (Duchess, Amy, Tasha, Britney and Velvet). Connie was devoted to her family, especially to her many grandchildren.
She leaves to cherish many memories to her children, Cheryl (James) King, Sandra (Jerry) Hoffmann, David (Lugena) Platt, Douglas (Kathleen) Platt, 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren; numerous, nieces, nephews cousins and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Platt Jr., and several siblings.
A Celebration of Life Service will be 1:00 PM Saturday, August 30, 2025 at D.O. McComb and Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road (46804). Visitation will be an hour prior to service. Burial will follow at the Hoverstock Cemetery in Zanesville, Indiana.
