Linda Sue Koch

Linda Sue Koch, age 74, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away on Sunday, May 5 at her residence surrounded by family. She was born, January 29, 1950 in Carlyle, Illinois to the late Elmer and Nadine (née Kinney) Melton. Linda graduated from Carlyle High School and would wed the love of her life, Joseph A. Koch III on January 21, 1967. She worked for Xolox prior to their closure, and would clean homes but cherished the time caring for her granddaughters. Linda enjoyed time spent with her cats, floral gardening, shopping and lunching at Panera. Linda is survived by her sons, Joseph A. Koch IV and Christopher M. (Stephanie) Koch, both of Fort Wayne; and three grandchildren, Danielle (Derick) Ormiston, Macey Koch, and Raygen Koch; great-granddaughter, Paige Ormiston; siblings, Sharon Rule, Elmer Melton Jr., Debbie (Ronnie) Hunt, Ralph (Debbie) Melton, Mike Melton, Becky (Dale) Peters, Jan Holtgrave, Lisa Rodenberg; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her late husband, Joseph A. Koch III; siblings, Doris Legate, Dennis Melton and Mary Hitpas. Celebration of Life is 1 PM, Saturday, June 22 at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes - Covington Knolls, 8325 Covington Rd, Fort Wayne with calling two hours prior. A Celebratory Open House will follow from 3 - 6 PM, American Legion Post 160, 1122 N Main St, Roanoke.
