

Lois Janet Hoehn, 87, of Columbia City, formerly of Ossian, passed away Saturday at The Oaks Living Center. Born November 1, 1924 in Culver, Indiana, she was a daughter of the late Joseph A and Nellie (Anderson) Hathaway. She married Duane Q. Hoehn on June 25, 1944; he passed away in 2007. A 1943 graduate of New Haven High School she was a lifelong homemaker, wife, and mother. She is a member of the Waynedale United Methodist Church. She is survived by two sons and two daughters, Michael Hoehn of Spencerville, Tedd (Lucinda) Hoehn of Indianapolis, Tamara (Todd) Speaks of Fort Wayne, Sonia (Steve) Simison of Larwill; nine grandchildren, Kane, Travis, Todd, and Raymond Hoehn, James, David, and Amanda Wise, Nik and Audrie Simison; five great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren; a sister, Lucille (Frank) Lerch of Fort Wayne. Also preceding her in death was a daughter Dianne J. Hoehn; two brothers, Joseph G Hathaway and Roy Hathaway. Funeral service will be 1:00 pm on Tuesday April 24, 2012 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne with visitation two hours prior. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens. Memorials to Heartland Hospice and/or Waynedale United Methodist Church.
