Louise L. "Lou" Gallone, 86, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2025. She was born on December 13, 1938, in Detroit, Michigan, a daughter of the late Pietro Mario and Filomena Cundari. She worked for 30 years as a teacher at Fort Wayne Community Schools before retiring in 1992. She was an avid reader and loved learning new things, most recently studying Spanish, French, and Italian. She was a rare combination of a loving heart, a strong will, and an engaged, quick mind. She was always lively in conversations, and devoted to her family. Surviving family include her siblings, Patti (Mike) Doherty, Peter (Karen) Cundari, and Laura (Prakash) Sathe; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins. Besides her parents, she was preceded in passing by her husband, Romeo A. "Ray" Gallone; sister, Rita Gallucci; one nephew; and one great nephew. A service celebrating her life will be at 3:00 pm on Sunday, November 2, 2025, at Greenlawn Funeral Home, 6750 Covington Road, Fort Wayne with visitation beginning at 1:00 pm. Lou's inurnment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne at a later time. Memorials can be made to a donor's favorite charity in Lou's memory.
