

LUCINDA I. CRAWFORD-GERBER, 49, of Fort Wayne, died Thursday, Feb. 28, 2008, at Parkview Hospital. Born on Dec. 19, 1958, in Fort Wayne, she was a Medication Assistance Coordinator at Parkview Hospital for 31 years. She was a member of Grace St. John's United Church of Christ. Surviving are her husband, Scott A. Gerber of Fort Wayne; children, Kassandra M. (Josh) Fuchs of Anderson, Jeffrey A. (Dana) Crawford Jr., of Fort Wayne, Chelsea A. Crawford of Fort Wayne, Megan R. Crawford of Fort Wayne, Benjamin S. Gerber of Fort Wayne, Alicia N. Gerber of Fort Wayne, and Mick G. (Brooke) Gerber of Bluffton; mother and stepfather, Lucille Chester and Herman Handy of Fort Wayne; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Larry and Pauline Gerber of Fort Wayne; brothers, John (Marsha) Dreyer of Fort Wayne, Kevin (Karen) Chester of Albion and Kent Chester; sisters, Helen Miller of Fort Wayne, Brenda (Louis) Henry of Fort Wayne and Lisa Henry of Fort Wayne; father and stepmother, Robert (Marilyn) Dreyer of Fort Wayne; former husband, Jeffrey A. Crawford Sr. of Fort Wayne; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Ervin L. Chester; and two sisters, Rebecca Dever and Cathy Rabe. Service is 11 a.m. Tuesday at Grace St. John's United Church of Christ, with visitation one hour prior. Pastor Julia Goodall officiating. Visitation also from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday and 1 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, Winchester Road Chapel, 6424 Winchester Road. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Crawford-Gerber Children's Education Fund.
