M. Jean Havens, 94, of Fort Wayne, passed away Saturday, February 23, 2013 at Kingston Residence of Fort Wayne. Born in Urbana, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Edna (Woodburn) Smith. A member of First Presbyterian Church and Alpha Delta Omega Sorority, she was a retired elementary school teacher for FWCS, and preschool teacher at First Presbyterian Church, Fort Wayne.
Jean is survived by her daughters, Marjorie Havens, of Fishers, IN; Jo Ann (Tom) Duff, of Coldwater, MI; Christine Havens, of Bainbridge Island, WA; and Beverly (Robert) Combs, of Fernandina Beach, FL; nine grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; brother, James (Mac) Smith; and sister, Nancy Windoffer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett J. Havens, and four siblings.
Memorial Service is 4:00 pm Friday, March 1, at Klaehn, Fahl and Melton Funeral Home, Winchester Rd. Chapel, 6424 Winchester Rd. with calling one hour prior.
