Margaret M. Goodman (née McGrath) 83, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday February 18, 2019. She had spent the days preceding her death surrounded by her loving family. Margaret was born to George and Collette McGrath in Fort Wayne, IN on March 4, 1935. She attended St. Jude’s grade school and graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1952. Margaret married her husband of 64 years, George Goodman on May 7, 1955. She worked for the City of Fort Wayne’s Police Department for 19 years before retiring in 1985. Margaret loved traveling and especially loved Ireland. Margaret is survived by her husband George, three sons, Timothy (Cindy), Andrew (Julie), and Thomas (Julie), a daughter, Linda Polley (Donald), (all of Fort Wayne), 11 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and her brother Timothy McGrath (Jane). She was preceded in death by her parents George and Collette McGrath and her sister, Sarah Carmona. Memorial service 11:00 am Saturday, February 23, 2019 at D.O. McComb and Sons Funeral Home Pine Valley with visitation one hour prior to the service. Memorial calling Friday, February 22, 2019 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at D.O.
