

Marilyn A. Miller, 92, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, May 16, 2021, in Birmingham, Alabama, where she had been living temporarily in the care of her family for the past 14 months. She was born on June 1, 1928, in Fort Wayne to the late Wayne and Clara (Weileman) Mariotte. For over 20 years Marilyn was a secretary-treasurer for Fort Wayne Community Schools (Ben Geyer Junior High). She was a faithful member of Trinity Episcopal Church for more than 30 years. Marilyn enjoyed knitting, playing dominos, and was a wonderful seamstress and brilliant bridge player. Most of all she cherished the time spent with her four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She is survived by her daughters, Peggy (Dr. James) Hansen of Birmingham, Alabama, and Marty (Dr. Doug) Kaderabek of Carmel, Indiana; grandchildren, Dr. Nathan (Jessica) Hansen of Vestavia Hills, Alabama, Jennifer (Cole) Hansen Gray of Hoover, Alabama, and Dr. Allison and Stephen Kaderabek (Bloomington, IN, and Carmel, IN, respectively); along with great-grandchildren, Isabelle Gray, Mason Gray, Luke Hansen, and Claire Hansen, a host of great nieces and nephews, and a close family friend, Debbie Hartman of Fort Wayne. Preceding her in passing was her husband, Richard K. Miller, also a life-long Fort Wayne resident and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. A private funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, May 27, 2021, at Trinity Episcopal Church.
