Marilyn L. Wilkins, 89, passed away November 25, 2018. Born May 25, 1929 in Fort Wayne, IN to Leo Theodore and Elsie Louise Baker. She married James Donald Wilkins in Fort Wayne on June 10, 1950. Marilyn graduated from Elmhurst High School. Early in her career she worked at Sears. Later, she and Jim acquired Country House Draperies on US 27 South. They provided window treatments and draperies in the Fort Wayne area for many years. Marilyn was avid seamstress creating many outfits for her children, grandchildren and even dolls. She was great at embroidery and designing artistic stationary, creating many things for her family. Marilyn loved gardening and was a phenomenal cook. She is survived by her son Don (Linda) Wilkins of Westerville Ohio, daughter Jo Ellen (Craig) Campbell of Indianapolis and son John (Kristie) Wilkins of Fort Wayne. She has eleven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years James Donald Wilkins. Visitation will be Friday November 30, 2018 from 2-4 pm at D. O. McComb & Sons Foster Park Funeral Home 6301 South Fairfield Ave Fort Wayne, IN. Private burial at Lindenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please send contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association.
