Marjorie "Margie" E. Himes

Marjorie "Margie" E. Himes, 96, passed away Wednesday, May 9, 2018. Born in Evansville, Indiana, Margie was the daughter of the late Charles Kuester and Meta Double. She worked as a sales clerk with S & H Greenstamp Store for 20 years, retiring in 1984. She was an active member at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church. Margie volunteered for Lutheran Hospital and St Matthews Food Bank for many years. She loved being social with her family and her church family. Surviving are her daughter, Pam (Jerry) White of Fort Wayne; granddaughters, Leigh White of Columbia City, Kelli (Ron) Norton of Fort Wayne; great-granddaughters, Paige, Abby and Rylee Norton; and sister, Sharon (James) Smart of Lapel. Margie was preceded in death by her husband, Donald G. Himes; son, Stephan Himes; siblings, Glen Fahrnow, Daniel Kuester, Jack Fahrnow, Wayne Fahrnow, and Charlene Breeden. Service is 11:00 am, Saturday, May 12, 2018 at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, 2305 Goshen Rd with calling one hour prior, Rev. Dale Henderson officiating. Calling at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road Friday, May 11, 2018, 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm. Burial in South Whitley Cemetery, South Whitley, Indiana. Memorials may be made to St. Matthews Lutheran Church or Visiting Nurse.
