Marjorie A. Albrecht Sallier

On May 12th, 2010, Marjorie A. (Albrecht) Sallier passed away at Lutheran Hospital. She was born in Fort Wayne, IN on May 6th, 1921 to parents John D. Albrecht and Emma (Weiss) Albrecht. She was a registered nurse and worked private duty until going to work for the Tuberculosis Association of Allen County, later working for Fort Wayne Community Schools as a school nurse retiring in 1991. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church. She enjoyed spending winters in Florida and traveling to Europe with the Wayne High School group and visiting Hawaii. She was a best friend to her children and will be greatly missed by family and friends. Leaving behind are her children, Patricia D. Sallier and John D. Sallier, both of Fort Wayne, IN, and cousins' Ronald (Elizabeth) Scherer, of St Claire Shores, MI and Robert (Eleanor) Scherer, of Pageland, SC; and many other cousins. Also leaving behind are great friend, Vicki Densmore and her 4 cats, who always brightened up her days. Preceding Marjorie in death are her parents, John and Emma Albrecht, her sister, Mary and cousins, Mildred Scherer and Ralph (Bud) Waikel. Funeral Service is 11:00am Monday, May 17, 2010 at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton, Wayne St Chapel, 420 W. Wayne St. Rev. Gene Brunow officiating. Visitation 2-4 & 6-8pm Sunday at the funeral home.
