I was a classmate of Mark's at Bishop Luers.  We hung out some during high school, but I have not made it back to Fort Wayne much at all since graduation.  I still remember him playing his "air guitar" jamming to AC/DC.  He was the kind of person that would do anything for you.  Literally, give you the shirt off his back.  He was always smiling and in a great mood.  God bless your family.

I was a classmate of Mark's at Bishop Luers. I didn't know him well, but he made a lasting impression on me just the same. What I remember most is his warm smile and a sparkle in his eyes. He was soft spoken and kind and sincere to everyone he came into contact with. One day while running to my next class, I dropped a book and out of everyone, Mark was the one who leaned down and picked it up for me. From all the entries I have read, it looks like that was the person he continued to be his entire life. Always there to lend a helping hand. What a wonderful legacy to leave behind. Rest in peace Mark.

Tyner, You always made me laugh.  Sitting in my office chewing the fat and enjoying each other's company.  You are in a far better place now.  Rest in peace, my friend.

I first met Mark in the fall of 1988. Mark worked at Rollins Truck Service and I drove semis part-time for Rollins. I will always remember the day I returned from a trip to Port Huron. I was fueling the truck with the door open and AC/DC playing. Mark walks up, smiles, makes a fist and says, “all right”. We have known each other since. Fast forward about 15 years, Mark and I were tending bar together at O’s. The folks we had fun with and the laughs we had. A few special memories of working the bar together on full-moon Sundays when something silly would surely happen and brighten our day, I mean night. I believe that everyone who knew Mark would say what a great guy he was with the kindest heart. I will never forget his laugh, his smile and always having a positive attitude.  Goodbye my friend!

Oh my - dear Tyner family - reading of Mark's passing is such a shock.  Our hearts and prayers go out to you all.

"Little brother" was always such a delight to see regardless of where it was that we saw each other.  Mark always had a smile and big hugs for us.  

I think the very first time I met Mark was when he helped Steve to move a cupola for me.  Mark would just about give the shirt off his back to anyone in need.  

When Mark worked with Allen County Towing, he was certain to pick up every piece of what was left of my car and put it back into the trunk before towing it.  Then he called a few days later to be certain I was still alive and to see if there was anything he could do to help me.
  
Mark always helped me find who I was meeting, or walked me safely to my car when I went out alone.  One night Mark he even talked three of us into singing karoke, and genuinely applauded our act in spite of our terrible singing.      

Mark was a gentle man with a huge heart who always had an encouraging word to share.  Your day was improved just by a minute or two of his presence.  Mark's love of music and people were the gifts he shared with us. Mark knew good music made people feel and act better for having listened and danced to it.

I went to high school with Mark. We never really new each other and I have lived everywhere but Fort Wayne for the past 20 years. 
I remember his kind face. He looks exactly the same and my heart goes out to your whole family during this painful time. God bless and keep you all.

The loss of your Son,Brother,Nephew,cousin, is shared by many. I am not sure if you are aware of just how many lives Tyner has touched. The qualities that he possessed are rarely seen in just one person. We are often attracted to others whom possess qualities that we lack in ourselves. I can see why so many people gravitated towards Tyner. If we are rewarded for the good deeds we do in this life, Tyner will be greatly rewarded. His good deeds were above and beyond what most of us are capable of. He had more compassion for the fellow human being than anyone that I have ever known. May you find comfort in knowing that Tyner was truly loved by so many. I am grateful to have had him in my life.

I met Mark thru my sister years ago. She was always saying what a kind, respectful, guy he was. She was right. EVERY time I saw him he truly seemed like he was happy to have seen and talked to you that day. He was never in a bad mood and could always make you smile and feel at ease. Too bad there arent more Tyners in this world. He will be missed but never forgotten.

I met Mark when he worked at Rollins. He was such a gentle, soft spoken young man..He always had a smile on his face..The wonderful comments are a true testament to the friend he was to many...To his family, take comfort in knowing that he was so well loved and I'm sure he will be watching over each and every one of you.

I always loved the peaceful smile Mark had and his wonderful laugh. I am so sorry for your loss. I can't imagine how you are feeling. Many years ago when Mark served as a bouncer at Our Place he watched over me to make sure everyone acted and treated me well. My husband was very grateful for Mark's support in watching over me. And truly that was Mark, he would watch over you and give all he had to help out. Even though I didn't get to see Mark very often, when I did he was warm, loving and sincere. He will be missed. We loved him and appreciated him.

I knew Mark from Luers. He was a year ahead and was always good to me. I am deeply sorry to hear of his passing and to his family I can only say that I hadn't seen Mark in years but I'd always known him as a jovial, stand-up guy. I know he will be missed, you are in my prayers.

The last time I saw Mark was at my Grandma Whitmore's funeral.  He was the same gentle and sincere person that I remembered when we he and I were kids.  Rest in peace, Mark. Uncle George, Aunt Jackie, Steve, Judy, Chris, Lynn and Cheryl, my thoughts are with you during this difficult time.

 My dear cousin and family.  It was with great saddness that I learned of Mark's passing.  All of the messages in his guest book is a testament as to what a wonderful person Mark was in life.  I too will miss his smiles and warm heart that loved all.  Uncle George and Aunt Jackie, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Tyner was the first friend I had to hang with when I met Gunder and moved to Indiana in 1998. Because he knew everyone, he got me started on my first job and helped me find a car. He always had the best hugs and I would leave the clubs smelling like his cologne every weekend. I never went to a Sevendust concert (or any concert at Pieres) without expecting him to meet me on TYNER TIME.  I will miss you buddy and hope to feel your presence around me down here. This is where I would like to say "what Kimmie said" because it is exactly how I feel & it is so hard to put into words. Tyner would want us to keep on rockin & not to be sad. But if he really had any clue how important his friendship was to so many people....I think he would understand how heavy our hearts are & really have been... watching him struggle for so many years trying to just be healthy and feel good. It is impossible to express how much you can miss someone that you love so much. I am proud to call you my friend and I am a much better person to have known you.

Mark...When I look back, you are such a large part of some of my favorite memories.  I was so blessed to have known you and to call you friend.  You were so loved by so many people!

When I think of Tyner I think of many things…kindness, loyalty, compassion, generosity, a caring heart & soul, and so much more. These qualities that Tyner possessed were only part of his charm. He was truly one of the funniest people I have ever known. He could make me smile under any circumstance…and he knew it too. To say he will be missed is an understatement. I know a group of people, myself included, that are better for having known Mark Tyner and counting him among our closest & dearest friends.  Our lives were touched by him in so many ways. And although his time with us was short & ended much too soon…we will carry him with us ALWAYS. He will live in our hearts, in our memories, in our laughter, and in the stories we will tell over & over & over again. After all they’re great stories. He is etched in each of our hearts, minds, and souls…so he’ll never be far from us. To leave a legacy like that says something about a person. It speaks volumes of the kind of life he lived. It tells you the kind of man he was. It shows you how much we all loved & admired him. Without him our worlds will seem a little more empty. But because of him, for a time, our worlds were that much brighter. I Love You my friend, and I will miss you more than any words could ever express.

Tyner, thank you for being you! You always had a way to make everyone feel special. When I was feeling down you picked me up and made me feel like I was the best person in the world. You are always going to be in my heart as one of the best friends a girl could ever have. I thank God each and every day that I was blessed to meet you and honored to be a part of your life. So many memories that I will always hold near. I will not say goodbye but farewell my friend until we meet again.

Mark was a good friend of mine. We worked together at O'Sullivans for a number of years and we had some great times together. Mark was a very thoughtful and caring person that always put people first. I'm glad I got to call him a friend.
