Marlene K Ables

MARLENE ABLES, 71, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 23, 2014, at Hospice Home, Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, Marlene graduated from South Side High School in 1961. She was a homemaker. Marlene was a member of Saturn Christian Church, V.F.W. Post 1421 and the Ladies Auxiliary 40 & 8. Her hobbies included NASCAR and Colts football. Surviving are her husband, David "Bob" Ables of Fort Wayne; daughter, Sheri (Dave) Harlow of Fort Wayne; son, Bobby (Lynn) Ables of Huntertown; daughter, Pam (Nathan) Sliger of Fort Wayne; brothers, Robert (Diane) Moilanen and Jeff (Pamela) Moilanen; sisters, Gloria Matheny, Carol Mumma, Cindy Cooke, and Faye (Bob) Stanton; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert A. and Delores I. Moilanen; brother, Ronald Moilanen; and sister, Delores Patty. Service is 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, 2014, at Saturn Christian Church, 6731 E 800 S, with calling one hour prior. The Rev. Russell Riley officiating. Calling also from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 28, 2014, at D.O. McComb Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne.
