

Marsha Chaney, 83, passed away peacefully at home on the morning of May 16, 2026. She was born on April 14, 1943, in Fort Wayne to Thomas and Glendora (Brokhamp) Ryan. Marsha graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1961.
Over the years, she worked at Luginbill’s Tool and Die, Magnavox in Garrett and Columbia City, and The Cedars Assisted Living in Leo.
Marsha was a longtime parishioner of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. She was a kind, fun-loving, sweet, and thoughtful woman who loved entertaining and was strong in her faith. Her favorite memories were made by spending time with family and friends. She was well known for her famous carrot cake, and her eggrolls even earned their own feast day within the family.
She is survived by her husband, Alan, with whom she shared 28 years of marriage; her daughter, Laura (Kerry) Roberts of Bluffton; daughter, Jodi (Curt) Butler and son, Edward (Tonya) Busche both of Leo; stepson, Mark (Carol) Chaney of Leo; stepson, Todd (Kay) Chaney of Fort Wayne; and stepson, Bryan (Barb) Chaney of LaOtto. She is also survived by her sister, Brenda Miller of Fort Wayne; sisters-in-law, Norma Butler and Joan Amstutz of Leo; 16 grandchildren: Danielle (Clint Baker) Roberts, Andrea (Michael) Wood, Jarred (Mason) Roberts, Jordan (Cassandra) Roberts, Cayla Butler, Kendra (Brayden) Moreau, Bryce Butler, Will (Chelsay) Grennay, Taylor (Chris) Johnson, Blake, Madison and Abby Busche, Logan (Tori) Chaney, Lauren Chaney, Jason and Brian Norris. 22 great-grandchildren: Mateo, Carson, Addison, Kinnley, Reece, Hudson, Bennett, Connor, Maggie, Bo, Nova, Bristol, Ayvie, Harlyn, Milo, Levi, and Carter, Madison, Charlotte, Jack, Katie and Ben.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 am on Friday May 22, 2026, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 1502 East Wallen Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana with visitation one hour prior.
Visitation is also from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm on Thursday May 21, 2026, with a Rosary at 3:30 pm at D.O. McComb and Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Committal and burial will be at Highland Park Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
