Martha A. White, 85, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Thursday, August 9, 2012. She was born on November 18, 1926 in Peru, Indiana to the late, Clifford and Georgia (Wise) Arbuckle. She was a telephone operator for Indiana Bell for four years, and worked in telephone sales for different institutions. She was active in various Christian organizations and enjoyed caring for plants, her grandchildren, and taking one day bus trips. Surviving family include her sons, Perry (Jackie) White, Jr. of Fort Wayne, Robert “Bob” (Vicki) White, Sr. of Fort Wayne; sister, Betty Vrooman; grandchildren, Eric White, Joel White, Joy Prater, Robert White, Jr., Cynthia Loop, and numerous great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in passing by her husband, Rex P. White, Sr., sister, Naomi Brewer. A funeral service will be 10:30 am on Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 on Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Prairie Grove Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Masonic Lodge # 739.
