Mary E. Hoger, 68, of Fort Wayne, passed away Thursday, April 4, 2013. She was born on December 18, 1944 in Fort Wayne to the late Elvis and Loretta (Moder) Smith. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending her free time working on family genealogy. Surviving family include her husband of 46 years, George Hoger, Jr. of Fort Wayne; daughter, Jennifer (Rick) Cianelli of Indianapolis; sons, George (Julie) Hoger III of Yoder, Thomas Hoger of Fort Wayne, Jeff (Rhonda) Hoger of Markle; brothers, Don (Kim) Smith, Ed (Helen) Smith both of Fort Wayne, Jim Smith of North Carolina; sister, Doris (Barry) Profeta of California; and seven grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in passing by a brother, Larry Smith. A funeral service will be 10:30 am on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 4643 Gaywood Drive, Fort Wayne. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne. A rosary will be recited at 7:30 pm on Tuesday evening. Burial will be in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
