Mary Jane Brown

MARY JANE BROWN, 58, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2016, at Hospice Home. Born May 27, 1958, in Fort Wayne, she was a daughter of the late Robert C. and Elizabeth "Betty" J. (Coular dot) Groves Sr. She worked as a phlebotomist at Lab Corp for 23 years, and was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. She is survived by her daughter, Leslie (engaged to Michael Wendt) Young of Indianapolis; son, Eric (Elizabeth) Bodie of Indianapolis; sister, Marilyn (James) Kelker of Fort Wayne; brothers, Richard (Debbie) Groves of Fort Wayne and Robert (Sally) Groves of Leesburg, Ind.; grandchildren, Lillian Young, Lenox Young, and Stella Bodie; lifetime best friend, Patty Brodrick Goggin; a "boatload of nieces and nephews"; and 26 great nieces and great nephews. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jeffrey Thomas Brown. Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Thursday, June 16, 2016, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 10700 Aboite Center Road, Fort Wayne (IN 46804), with visitation one hour prior. Visitation also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 15, 2016, at Greenlawn Funeral Home, 7650 Covington Road, Fort Wayne (IN 46804). Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana or masses at St. Charles Catholic Church.
