Mary Patricia Kaczmarek

Mary Patricia Kaczmarek, 82, passed away suddenly on January 2, 2026, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, IN. She was born on January 19, 1943 in Oil City, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Carroll.

She graduated from Saint Joseph High School in Oil City, Pennsylvania and earned her RN in nursing from Saint Vincent Hospital in Erie, Pennsylvania. Patricia was very proud to be a nurse and enjoyed helping others. She worked as a nurse in Erie, Pennsylvania including at Saint Vincent Hospital and Millcreek Hospital in critical care. She was also a visiting nurse in Marion, Ohio before she moved to Fort Wayne where she worked for Dr. Richard Kelty for 25 years.

Patricia cherished her family and loved spending time with children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Tom Kaczmarek, of Fort Wayne, IN; daughters, Kristine White, Susan (Chuck) Dunno, and son Dan (Rhonda) Kaczmarek. She had seven grandchildren (Dana, Nicolas, Katie, Peter, Abby, Nathan, Patrick) and seven great grandchildren (Dominic, Sawyer, Jillian, Amelia, Blakely, Leo, & Lucia).

Patricia was preceded in death by her siblings, Danny Carroll, Karen Clark, and Tom Carroll.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Fort Wayne Zoo.
