MELVIN "BUTCH" DOAN, 80, passed away Monday, June 1, 2015. Born in Grand Island, Neb., Butch worked in maintenance at Perfection Biscuit for 20 years, retiring in 1996. He enjoyed woodworking, working in the garage, and loved spending time with his family. Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Mary Doan of Fort Wayne; daughters, Brenda (Pat) Ruprecht and Lynda (Randy) Auker, both of Fort Wayne; sons, Dan (Lisa) Rowdabaugh and Don (Marty) Rowdabaugh, both of Poe, Ind.; sisters, Bernice Thorn and Doris (Herman) Wissing, both of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Matt, Allie, Brent, Aimee, Jennifer, Don, Robin, Kandi, Josh, and Josi; and 16 great-grandchildren. Service is 10 a.m. Friday, June 5, 2015, at D.O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road, with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, June 4, 2015, at the funeral home. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
