Michael Joseph Simonis, 71, passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2025. He was born on July 25, 1953 to the late Joseph Francis and Betty Marie (Colvin) Simonis. Michael was a talented musician and was able to play many different instruments but mainly favored guitars (both acoustic and electric). He was also known to be a puzzle enthusiast, a Colts football fan, and for his interest in hot air ballooning. Michael is survived by his siblings, Lisa (Herschel) Tatum, Timothy (Lynn) Simonis; one nephew; and several nieces. He is preceded in passing by his brother, Keith Simonis. A visitation for Michael will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2025 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services, 2403 East Wallen Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46825, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, please make a memorial contribution to the Northeast Cancer Society.
