

BISHOP MIKE MORIMANNO, 83, passed away surrounded by his family, on Monday, Dec. 28, 2015, at his home, in Fort Wayne. Born in Hughes, W.Va., he was the son of the late Rocco and Mary Morimanno. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. After discharge, he returned to Fort Wayne where he met and married his wife of 60 years, Ronda. He worked at Fruehauf until he left to go full time in his ministry. His life was completely devoted to this church and his missions. His travels and missions included India, Ghana, Nigeria, Haiti, The Philippines, Jamaica, and the West Indies. He was the author of many books which have been sent worldwide, to all of the countries of his missions, and also Russia and Australia. Faithful to the end, he has passed his ministry on to his children and given the mantle to his eldest son, Pastor Rocco Morimanno, who will continue his work. He is survived by his wife, Ronda Morimanno; sons, Rocco (Brenda), Phillip (Charlene), David (Kimberly), James (Kathy), Thomas (Lorie), and Timothy all of Fort Wayne and Kenneth of Clinton Township, Mich.; daughter, Michelle Morimanno of Fort Wayne; numerous grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; brother, Joseph (Phyllis) Morimanno of Fort Wayne; and sisters, Sarah (Richard) Stephens of Kendallville, and Mary Morimanno of Michigan. Mike was also preceded in death by son, Paul Morimanno; two brothers; and three sisters. Funeral Service is 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 4, 2016 at Jesus Name Apostolic Church, 3615 New Haven Ave with visitation one hour prior. Pastor Rocco Morimanno officiating. Visitation also from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 3, 2016 at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Avenue. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne. The family wishes to thank the Visiting Nurse Hospice Care. Special thanks to his nurse Vicky and to Junior, who both not only gave care, but brought such joy with each visit.
