Millie R Cox

On January 28, 1946, Millie R. (Hartwick) Cox was born in Traverse City, Michigan. On February 23, 2014, she went home to be with her Heavenly Father. Millie touched the lives of so many during her 68 years on this earth. Although her time was short, she made use of everyday to share the grace of God and to lift up all those around her. Millie was an active Christian, she taught Christian education in the public school system. She performed monologues based on Biblical characters in local schools and churches. She worked tirelessly to bring herself and others close to God. Millie was the loving wife of Ron Cox for 44 years; the devoted mother and grandmother to Dan (Kris) Reese and their three children, Brad Cox and his three children, Brian (Laurie) Cox and their four children; and the caring sister to George (Sharon) Hartwick and Jane (Brad) Maxson. “We have been blessed to have had her as long as we have and continue to be blessed with her memory.” Funeral service will be 11:00 am on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 2417 Getz Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be from 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Friday, February 28, 2014 at Greenlawn Funeral Home, 6750 Covington Road, Fort Wayne. Millie will be laid to rest at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Aldersgate United Methodist Church.
