Nancy A. Brinker, 83, passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at Brookstone Assisted Living in Fayetteville, AR. Born in Rockford, IL, she lived in Fort Wayne, IN for almost 45 years. Nancy attended University of Illinois where she was a member of Phi Mu sorority as well as the P.E.O. sisterhood. An avid music lover, she won the state championship in flute for the State of Illinois in 1950s. Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, of almost 60 years. She and Robert were members of Messiah Lutheran Church. They cherished many things about Fort Wayne. Triangle Park was their favorite restaurant and you could find them there Saturday nights. Nancy had a loving heart and was devoted to her family. She always said “the best prayers come from Fort Wayne”. She is survived by her daughters, Linda Brinker, Chicago, Illinois; Laura Kent, Fayetteville, Arkansas, Lisa Maxwell and her spouse David Almire, Atlanta, Georgia; sons Scott Brinker, Ron Brinker and daughter-in-law Bonnie, Boston, Massachusetts; grandchildren Jackson Brinker and Phillip Kent. A funeral service will be held Monday, March 12th at 2:00 pm, at D.O. McComb & Sons, Maplewood Park Funeral Home with Rev. Timothy Graham officiating with calling an hour prior to the service. Calling will be held Sunday, March 11th from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm at D. O. McComb & Sons, Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road.
