Nancy Mae (Lammiman) Webb, age 94, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away on Sunday, August 3, 2025. She was born November 12, 1930, in Fort Wayne to the late Charles H. and Madelene C. (Havice) Lammiman. Nancy graduated from Elmhurst High School, Class of '48. She graduated from Indiana University, Bloomington with a degree in Elementary Education and St. Francis University with her Master of Education. She would spend thirty-three years in Elementary Education at Croninger Elementary School in Fort Wayne prior to her retirement in 1993.
She was a faithful member of St. Joe United Methodist Church and sang in the choir. Nancy was a member of the I.U. Alumni Association, University of St. Francis Alumni Association, State of Indiana Retired Teachers Association and volunteered at Parkview Hospitals. She was an avid fan of all I.U. sports, especially the basketball and football teams.
Nancy is survived by her beloved daughter, Janet (Tim) Souza of Sonora, CA; grandchildren, Jennifer Walowich of Oakdale, CA and John Paul Walowich of Hanford, CA; great-grandchildren, Kaia, Kinsley, and Jace of California; sister, Sue (Stuart) Trainer of Fort Wayne; niece, Ann (Arthur) Sanford; nephew, Mark Trainer of Riverview, FL; along with several other nephews and dear friends.
Funeral Service is at 11 a.m. Friday, August 15, 2025, at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes – Maplewood Park, 4017 Maplecrest Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne. Friends and family will also be received 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 14, at the funeral home.
Memorial Contributions may be directed to St. Joe United Methodist Church, the Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo and the Parkview Health Foundation.
