

Naomi E. Lepper Ellenwood, 83, of Fort Wayne, passed away Sunday, Oct. 21, 2012 at her home. Born May 16, 1929 in Fort Wayne, she retired as a registered nurse. She graduated from Central High School in 1947 and Methodist Hospital School of Nursing. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. She volunteered at Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo, Embassy Theatre, Concordia Theological Seminary. She was a wonderful grandma. She gave the best hugs and always had a smile on her face. She was a big Cubs fan and IU Basketball Fan. She loved traveling and loved covered bridges. She loved taking pictures and always had a camera with her. She is survived by her step daughter, Judith Horton, of Katy, TX; three step sons, Larry Ellenwood, of Coldwater, OH; John Ellenwood, of Spring, TX and Kenneth Ellenwood, of Kerrville, TX; grandchildren, Matthew (Jody), Andy, Kelli, Carrie, Jennifer and Eric; and many great grandchildren and special friend, Sally Garrett-Smith, of Fort Wayne. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard D. Ellenwood, Jr., in 1986, sister, Mary Louisa Lepper, in 1981 and step son, Jeff Ellenwood, in 2003. Funeral Service is 10:00 am Friday, Oct. 26, 2012 at Klaehn, Fahl and Melton Funeral Home, Wayne St. Chapel, 420 W. Wayne St. Visitation is 4-7 pm Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012 at the funeral home.
