

Nicholas H. "Nic" Goldsberry, 45 of Powell, Ohio, formerly of Fort Wayne, Indiana was called to be with the Lord on April 29, 2025. Born in Allen County, Indiana on October 18, 1979, the son of Cynthia L. Nichols and Gregory D. Goldsberry.
Nic was a 1998 graduate of Elmhurst High School and furthered his education at Indiana Tech with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, followed by a master’s degree in business administration. Nic devoted 23 years to his career at Honda as a Chief Engineer, where his loyalty and dedication left an impact on all who had the privilege of working alongside him. He was dependable, trustworthy, and exceptional – receiving many accolades and awards for his vision, leadership, and precision.
Nic was a beloved husband, devoted father, cherished son, and a loyal friend. Nic’s life was marked by quiet strength, steadfast love, and unwavering commitment to those he cherished.
Nic was the foundation of his family, a constant source of love, laughter, and genuine security. He shared a beautiful life with Brittany, his soulmate, and the love of his life. Together they built a home full of joy, warmth, and fulfillment. As a father to his children, Nic poured his entire soul into fatherhood. He was a steady hand, a compassionate listener, a source of wisdom, and the greatest role model his children could ever ask for.
Nic was also a treasured son, a trusted brother, and a genuine friend who loved deeply and lived his life to the fullest. He had the ability to bring people together with his “life of the party” personality and had the kind of wit that brought laughter to every room.
The loss of Nic is profound—not only because of the life he lived, but because of the life he still had left to give. Our grief is heavy and our hearts ache with sadness. We are endlessly grateful for the time we shared with him. Nic’s memory will live on through his wife and children, his family, and his friends.
Nic is survived by his wife, Brittany D. (McDougall) Goldsberry, three children, Boston A. Everett, Theodore M. Goldsberry, and Vivienne R. Goldsberry; mother, Cynthia L. Nichols; father, Gregory D. Goldsberry (Elaine K. Goldsberry); a sister, Melissa S. Goldsberry Rice (Jeremy Rice); step-sister, Kelly G. Keel (Ryan Teel); two sisters-in-law, Nicole M. McDougall and Jena L. Reber Brewer (Jaelen A. Brewer); five nieces, Avery C. Rice, Alexandra L. Rice, Shawn M. Terry (Michael Terry), Violet N. Zorica, Gianna N. Brewer; two nephews, Hudson C. Darnell and Marcus E. Brewer. He is also survived by many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert L. Nichols S., Carroll J. (Breeden) Nichols, Doris M. Goldsberry, David H. Goldsberry, and uncle, Robert L. Nichols Jr.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at Greenlawn Funeral Home, 6750 Covington Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana with visitations from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at the funeral home. Burial service will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
