Nicholas "Nick" Joseph Krajewski, 69, of Fort Wayne, IN, passed away on November 14, 2025, at Assurance Health of Anderson, IN. He was born on December 16, 1955, in Fort Wayne, IN, a son of the late Nicolas Joseph Sr. and Mary Krajewski.
Nick graduated from North Side High School in 1975. He was an avid fan of both college and professional football and a diehard supporter of the Oklahoma Sooners and the Kansas City Chiefs, relishing their national titles and Super Bowl championships. He even named his beloved Buick Encore "The Big Red ONE," in honor of the team's color and his favorite color - bright red.
Following graduation, Nick went to work at the main branch of the Allen County Public Library, where he faithfully served as a public servant for 41 years, retiring in 2021 at a supervisory level in the Record Storage department.
In addition to his passion for football, Nick was an enthusiastic bowler and had the pleasure of playing in several library league championships in the mid -1980s. He enjoyed traveling - some highlights include taking in the Football Hall of Fame in Canton, OH, and a private tour with his family at Kansas City's famed Arrowhead Stadium.
Nick is survived by his younger twin brother, Kevin Krajewski of Fort Wayne, IN; cousins, Janice (Eric) Garman of Fort Wayne, IN, Gary Garman of Fort Wayne, IN, Gregg (Carol) Garman of Grabill, IN, Alex (Ron) Tagauski of Boise, ID, Jana Bernhardt of Boise, ID, and Ron (Linda) Stepnowski of Long Island, NY.
Nick was preceded in death by his parents, Nicolas Joseph Sr. and Mary Krajewski and by his grandparents.
Funeral service will be 11:00 am Thursday, November 20, 2025, at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Home - Lakeside Park, 1140 Lake Ave., with visitation one hour prior. Committal and burial will follow at Prairie Grove Cemetery, Waynedale, IN, 46809.
Memorial contributions in Nick's name may be made to Parkview Cancer Institute or Salvation Army of Fort Wayne.
