Nikolaos Pliastos, 42, passed away on Thursday, June 17, 2021. He was born on July 19, 1978 in Fort Wayne, IN. Niko is son to Kosmas and Chrisoula Pliastos and they survive. He worked at Casa Restaurant for 26 years, as manager, recently promoted to Chief Operating Officer. His family was his world. He enjoyed driving to hockey games and practices with his son, Filippas, and watching his daughters, Lydia and Samantha play volleyball and dance. He loved the lake and fishing and playing drums and singing in a band. Niko graduated from Homestead High School in 1996 and Indiana University/Purdue University, Fort Wayne in 2001 where he played collegiate soccer. Niko married Cindy Parrish on October 8, 2005. He was an active member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church and served on the parish council in prior years. Surviving are his wife, Cindy Pliastos; children, Filippas, Lydia and Samantha; sisters, Katerina (Dave) Byrum and Alexandra (Tony) Arata; nieces and nephews, Giovanna, Isaiah, Ava, Elijah, Josephine, Haley, Brianna, Kiersten, Taylor, and Eli; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Michael and Linda Parrish; and Godson, Nick Baker. Funeral service 11:00am, Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 110 East Wallen Road, Fort Wayne, IN. Visitation from 2-4pm and 6-8pm Monday, June 21, 2021 at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church with a Trisagion Service at 7:00pm. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne, IN.
