Nivia always found a way to make me smile or laugh, her energy was pure and she was somebody you just wanted to be around. I will never forget the kindness she showed me💚

Nivi fue la estudiante que cualquier maestra quisiera tener, una niña llena de amor, bondad y pasión por su cultura. En mi clase fue un ejemplo a seguir para sus compañeros y la alegría de nuestros días. Fue un honor haber sido su maestra y entrenadora de futbol. 
Nivi fue una niña muy fácil de querer y hoy su partida duele muchísimo. Nuestro consuelo es que ella ahora se encuentra en un lugar donde no hay dolor ni sufrimiento.

Prima, you were takin too soon. I can still hear you talking about your plans after high school! My nivi you were such a loving, sweet and naturally smart girl! Even though this is temporary, you not being here hurts, nothing won’t ever be the same anymore, but I’m glad you’re no longer in pain and im so grateful and blessed that  Jehovah has a special and amazing gift for us where we will be able to see you again!

Nivi was a bright young lady that I had the pleasure to meet and hang out with and make memories with since we were little girls. It s a shame her life was cut short and it made me deeply sad because I know she had so much more to live and experience. She’s 4 yrs older than me but I always appreciated her kindness and how she was progressing in the congregation. I was so happy when I saw her give her first part. She has always been someone I’ve enjoyed hanging out with and I know Jehovah will bring her back sometime soon! My family and I love her and your family and she’ll continue to be in our memories 🩷

I am so sorry for the loss of Nivia. 

She was one of the brightest and kindest young ladies that I have ever taught.  She was in the first group of students that I ever taught at Portage Middle School and really helped me--as a teacher--feel welcome and ready to teach.  She was a leader and she helped others.  She worked hard in class and contributed to the Television and Broadcast class as well as ELA 8.  She was an important member of the volleyball team that my wife and I coached that year.  I am still at a loss to explain how bad I feel that such a great and aspiring young person has been lost to the Portage Middle School and Wayne High School communities.

Nivia was truly a blessing to know and to coach. She carried such a sweet and genuine spirit—always helpful, always uplifting, and naturally stepping into a leadership role without ever being asked. She brought light to every practice and inspired everyone around her. Her absence will be deeply felt, and she will be truly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. I had the pleasure of teaching Nivia in the Early College Program at Wayne High School. She was a leader in the classroom. Nivia brighten up the classroom with her smile. My condolences to her family, friends and teammates. Nivia Rest in Peace

Nivia was an integral part of starting our Student Leadership Program at Portage Middle School.  She was such a kind and sweet young person and was well-liked by everyone that got to know her.  She will be missed.  I am terribly sorry that I will not be in town to attend her funeral and visitation, but please know that my condolences, thoughts, prayers, and love are with all of Nivia’s family and friends

Niv was always  a light in our community and she will be missed every minute of every day, my biggest condolences to everyone who got the pleasure to experience her, she is so loved and you are not alone.

I'm glad I had the pleasure to know/teach Nivia. She was such a bright person (academically and just in essence). She always had a smile and a positive attitude. She will be truly missed. I hope all her friends and family can find support in each other and strength through memories with her. Sending lots of love to everyone. ❤️
