

NORIKO MILLER, 87, of Fort Wayne, passed away Thursday, Jan. 8, 2015 at Lutheran Hospital. She was born Feb. 11, 1927 in Kuma-moto, Japan a daughter of the late Takeo and Hana Kutsuwa. She worked as a clerk at Mr. Wiggs and then later, Hecks Department Stores for around 15 years. She enjoyed fishing, camping, and working outside in her flower gardens. She is survived by her children, Douglas Miller of Fort Wayne; daughter, Judy Fry of Yoder; grandsons, Robert (Kerry) Ybarra of Buffalo, N.Y. and Jason Ybarra of Fort Wayne; great-granddaughter, Allyson Ybarra; brother, Seiji Kutsuwa of Kumamoto, Japan; step-grandchildren, Adam Fry of Fort Wayne and Jason (Tiffany) Fry of Wichita, Kan.; and her nieces and nephews of Japan and Fort Wayne. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Miller in 1989; sister, Fusako Kutsuwa and Hidenori Kutsuwa. Funeral service is 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2015 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne, (IN 46809) with visitation one hour prior. Visitation also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 12, 2015 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Concordia Gardens. Preferred memorials may be made to the U. S. O.
