

Ollie Frank Snyder, 82, passed away surrounded by loved ones on April 23, 2025, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, IN. He was born November 11, 1942, in Fort Wayne, IN, the son of the late Frank Snyder and Corrine Kelton.
Ollie was a dedicated Locomotive Engineer who spent 30 years running trains for Norfolk and Southern Railroad. He was an avid fisherman, Ham Radio operator and CB radio enthusiast and enjoyed his CB club (HOBO) meetings.
Ollie was known for making homemade salsa and took great pride in sharing with friends and family. His salsa was always a highlight, symbolizing his love for bringing joy to those around him.
His warm spirit and kindness made him a beloved friend to many, including fellow patients and nurses at the dialysis center and hospital. Above all, his greatest passion was the time he spent with his family, creating cherished memories that will live on in their hearts.
His legacy of friendship, generosity, and love will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his children, Dawn (Tony) Ochoa, Misty (Mark) Markle, Terry (Michelle) Snyder all of Fort Wayne, IN; sister, Hilda Blaising; 3 sisters; 1 brother; grandchildren, T.J. Ochoa, Austin (Rachael) Ochoa, Malaya Ochoa, Tiffany (Kenny) Adeleye, Corey (Alexus) Rodgers, Makena Markle, Briana Snyder, Nicole Hewes, and Megan (Greg) Bloem; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Ollie was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Sandra “Sandie” Snyder, October 6, 2007; daughter, Angel Snyder; and a brother and sister.
Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 am Friday May 2, 2025, at D.O. McComb and Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road, Fort Wayne, IN, with visitation 2 hours prior.
Committal and burial at Lindenwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project.
