Pam Waltemath, 71, passed away on July 3rd, 2025, with her husband by her side. She was born February 9, 1954, to the late James and Louise Whitehurst in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She grew up attending Memorial Baptist Church.
She graduated from Northside High School in 1972. Pam went on to Indiana University, where she became a life-long avid IU basketball fan. “Go IU!”
She met Charlie in 1984, where they became engaged on the beaches of Jamaica. They were married on April 20, 1985, at Memorial Baptist Church, and spent over 40 years together. Pam and Charlie welcomed their daughter, Kalee, in 1986, and son Chaz in 1988.
Pam’s career as a sales representative at Kemark Environment for 12 years, where she was self-motivated, dependable, loyal, and well-organized.
Pam was loved by many and loved handing out to-do lists to Charlie and their children. She loved music, going to concerts, seeing the Olympics in Canada, and every fun adventure in between.
Pam loved spending the summer at Hamilton Lake with her family and was an avid water skier. Her love for the water led her to lead the ski club, spent years lifeguarding, and many hours enjoying and teaching lessons at the YMCA.
Pam was a daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother. As a wife, she had a lot in common with Charlie. A shared love of Jamaica, music, lake life, and building a life together through a beautiful home in the woods, a lake cottage, and raising their children.
As a mother, Pam was kind, giving, and cared more for others, especially her children. She willingly gave up her career to be there for scouts, sports, musicals, summers at the lake, and being their biggest supporter in all that they did.
Grandma Pam loved her grandchildren dearly. She saved every photo, made photo albums, and always told them how much she loved them. She found immense joy in surprising them with special deliveries, whether a thoughtful card containing a $5 bill or a fun Amazon delivery.
Pam always put others before herself and helped everyone in their time of need. Random acts of kindness were her love language. She was known for giving back in someone’s time of need, especially during the holiday season. She’ll be remembered for her love of peace signs, nature, music, and family.
Pam leaves a legacy of love and caring to her husband, Charlie Waltemath; son, Chaz Waltemath; daughter, Kalee (Mark) Forcum; a granddaughter, Avery Forcum; a grandson, Lawson Forcum; and other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by a brother, David Whitehurst.
