

He worked as a piston quality control Inspector with Zollner Piston Corporation for 25 years and retired in 1999.
He was a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.
Pandelis is survived by his children, Kostas (Lorena) Kaplanis, George (Eleni) Kaplanis, Christina (Sean) Turner; grandchildren, Gregory, Pandelis, Triandaphillos (Mckenzi), Evangelia, Agapi, Katerina, Emersen, Ashlyn and Tyler. As well as his brother Chris (Triani) Kaplanis
He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Evangeli Kaplanis; grandson, Dimitri M. Kaplanis; brother, Tony; and sisters, Politimi, Athena and Katerina.
Pandeli was a self-made man who did many things throughout his life. He started a concrete business in Greece, and owned a used car sales business in Fort Wayne (Kaplanis Auto Sales). Pandeli was an accomplished painter, sketch artist and was a member of the Ft. Wayne Artist Guild. He educated himself and was an avid reader of all subjects. He enjoyed performing magic for both family and friends.
More than anything else, Pandeli loved his family and was proud of the Greek traditions and culture. He wanted to pass along the values and morals that were instilled in his past to his children, grandchildren and family.
A funeral service will be 11:00 am on Monday, June 9, 2025, at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 110 East Wallen Road, Fort Wayne, IN, with visitation one hour prior with Father Cosmin Sicoe, officiating. Visitation is also from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm on Sunday, June 8, 2025, at D.O. McComb and Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road, Fort Wayne, with Trisagion Prayer at 7:00 pm. Committal and Burial at Highland Park Cemetery.
