Patricia “Patt” Sue Hieber, 75, passed away peacefully, March 10, 2023, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, IN. She was born April 1, 1947, in Fort Wayne, IN, the daughter of the late Arthur and Wilma Hieber. Patt graduated from South Side High School in 1965.
She worked at Lutheran Hospital as an Administrative Assistant in the Lab for several years, then moved to Chicago and worked for patent attorneys for almost 20 years, and at Northwestern University Medical Department. She eventually returned to Fort Wayne in 1996 and retired from the law firm of Beers Mallers Backs & Salin in 2013.
Patt is survived by her sister, Janice Hieber of Fort Wayne, IN; brother Raymond A. (Margaret) Hieber of Temecula, CA; niece Anne (Daniel) Leyva of San Francisco, CA; nephews, Michael (Ori) Hieber of Tuscon, AZ; William (Lori) Hieber of Temecula, CA; and great nieces Emmeline and Maeve Hieber.
Funeral service will be 11:00 am Monday March 20, 2023, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church 7710 E. State Blvd. Fort Wayne, IN, with visitation one hour prior. Visitation also from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at D.O. McComb and Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home 4017 Maplecrest Rd. Fort Wayne, IN. Burial in St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church School or Donor’s Choice.
