Pat graduated from South Side High School and grew up spending weekends on her grandparent's farm in Wolcottville, Indiana. She pursued her passion for helping others by earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the Lutheran College of Health Professionals. Pat dedicated over 30 years as a registered nurse at Lutheran Hospital.
Pat was a devoted wife to Ray E. Spangle, with whom she shared 38 wonderful years. Together, they enjoyed exploring Indiana state parks, square dancing, bowling, cruising, and participating in the senior games with the Fort Wayne Parks.
Her family was the center of her world. Pat is survived by her daughters: Diana (Michael Moore) and Christina (Matt McNew). Her grandchildren: Raven (Brian Motta), Savannah (Noah Smith), Tesla, Avery, and Roark, as well as her great-granddaughter, Lilah. Pat is also survived by her sister, Carolyn Bernardi, of Pescadero, California.
Pat liked to be on the go. She was often dining out, attending concerts and plays, and participating in festivities around Fort Wayne. It was rare to see her without a book in hand and a Pepsi nearby. She will be deeply missed, and her legacy will live on in the hearts of her loved ones.
