Paula J. Pendergraft, 68, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at St. Joseph Hospital. Born September 10, 1952 in Fort Wayne, she was a daughter of the late Paul Brewer and Julia (Schmucher) Roberts. A graduate of South Side High School, Paula was a bookkeeper at Baysinger Automotive for 22 years and later worked at Villa Capri Apartments for 17 years. A simple woman, she was a wonderful homemaker and enjoyed cross-stitch. She volunteered her time at many prisons throughout Indiana, Ohio, and Illinois helping prisoners read, write, and complete educational programs. She is survived by her stepchildren, Annette (Charles) Noble of Butler, Ind., Clarence (Rachel) Baysinger of Evansville, Ind., and Steven Baysinger of Wabash, Ind.; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and nephew, Brent (Maureen) Brewer of Fort Wayne. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Robert and Ron Brewer; niece, Dawn Brewer; and grandson, Christopher Baysinger. Graveside Service is 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 4, 2020 at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 6600 Covington Road, Fort Wayne, with family gathering at the gravesite 30 minutes prior.
