

Peggy Ehrsam, 75, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Saturday, August 23, 2025. Born in Lawton, Oklahoma at the Fort Sills Army base on March 5, 1950, daughter of the late Bentley and Margaret (Baker) Cox. Peggy worked in the manufacturing industry for several years. She enjoyed taking trips to the casino, going to flea markets, and traveling. Peggy was known for hosting parties and holiday gatherings, where she would treat her guests with her amazing food. She had a passion for Betty Boop, her dodge chargers, and listening to 80's music, with the exception of George Strait. Peggy is survived by her husband of 28 years, Jeff Ehrsam; daughter, Shelly Dowty; son, Stephen Brown; step-children, Benjamin and Veronica Ehrsam; grandchildren, Justin Brown, Paul Thompson Angela Thompson, Trace Holley; four step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Alice Eytcheson, Gloria Cox, and Ella Klapper; brother, Donald Cox; nephews, Christopher, Joseph, Joshua, and Jason; and nieces, Lora, Tonya, Angie, Lisa, and Cindy. She was also preceded in death by three grandchildren; brother, Charlie Baker; and sister-in-law, Diane Cox. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at Klaehn,Fahl & Melton Funeral Home 6424 Winchester Road Fort Wayne, Indiana 46819 with visitation beginning at 11:00 am. Burial to follow the service at Prairie Grove Cemetery. Contributions in Peggy's memory may be made to Rescue Mission Fort Wayne or the Salvation Army.
