Peter Thomas James

Peter Thomas James, passed away on April 26, 2021. He was born on January 29, 1979 in Cumberland, Rhode Island, the son of the late Daniel James and Dianne James Bowman who survives. Peter, also fondly known as "Petey Bird" by his friends, worked as a self employed roofer for the past 20 years. He enjoyed sports, specifically the New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox and he was an avid sports card collector. He enjoyed being outdoors and hiking. He loved animals and would go above and beyond to rescue even a mouse. Peter was a collector of many things, often coming home with a variety of items. He loved candy, specifically Trolli gummy worms, pizza and cookie dough ice cream. He will be remembered as a loving supporting son and brother, a loving husband, and nurturing father. He is survived by the love of his life, Elsie James; daughters, Dezirae Bostyn, Daisy May and Violet Ophelia; mother, Dianne (Tom) James Bowman; sister, Dani Lee (Riley) Hamilton; one niece and three nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Daniel James. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, May 3, 2021 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4916 Trier Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46815 with calling one hour prior. Burial will take place in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne, IN. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Charles Borromeo School, Ft. Wayne, IN.
