RALPH E. ANDERSON, 91, died Tuesday, July 26, 2016, in Libertyville, Ill. Born in Portsmouth, Ohio he moved to Fort Wayne with his family in the 1930s. He served in the U.S. Army in World War II in the European Theatre. He graduated from Purdue University after being discharged from the Army and spent his career working as a metallurgist in foundries in Ilinois, Indiana, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania. Ralph was a Freemason and member of Waupaca Lodge # 123. He was an avid reader, music lover, golfer and volunteer. He was preceded in death by his wife Enna in 2001. Surviving is his sister, Dorothy Slichenmyer of Libertyville, Ill.; and numerous nieces and nephews and their extended families. Cemetery service is 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 1, 2016, at Greenlawn Memorial Park Chapel, 6600 Covington Road. Calling is from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday, July 31, 2016, at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road, with a Masonic Service at 7:00 pm. Memorials may be made to the Shriner's Hospital.
