

RALPH DWAYNE "R.D." BAKER, 85, of Fort Wayne, died on Monday, May 15, 2017, 6:40 p.m., at Golden Years Homestead. Born July 28, 1931, in Spencerville, Ind., he was the husband of the late Linda (Arnold) Baker and the son of the late Ralph and Grace (Sponhower) Baker. He was a data processing manager at Rea Magnet Wire with 34 years of service. He was a founding member at Christ's Church at Georgetown, as well as, a Scout Master and a Mason of the 32nd degree. He also loved bowling, roller skating and gardening. Surviving are his five children, Phil (Janie) Baker of New Haven, Andy (Tracy) Baker or Fisher, Ill.., Dan (Karen) Baker of Noblesville, Amy (Scott) Davis of Fort Wayne, and Annette Baker of San Jose, Calif.; sister, Bette Way of New Port Richey, Fla.; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years. Linda Baker; and infant son, Raymond Paul Baker. Service is 10 a.m. Monday, May 22, 2017, at Christ's Church at Georgetown, 3131 Maplecrest Road with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, May 21, 2017, at D.O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne. Memorials may be made to the Golden Years Homestead.
