“Ray”—as he was fondly known—worked for many years as an engineer. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who valued his family, faith, and friends. Some of his happiest times were spent with family and getting together with friends. Just before Linda’s passing, he was blessed and honored to have cared for her, keeping his vows as she made her transition. He had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh and have a good time. He was an active and dedicated member of Lifehouse Church—Huntertown Campus where he sang in the choir and the Barber Shop Quartet for many years. Ray lived an active life, and was very competitive enjoying billiards, fishing, and pickleball. He qualified last year at the age of 73 for the National Pool/Billiards Tournament in Las Vegas, Nevada.
In addition to his wife, Linda Ann Stover, and parents, Ray was preceded in death by his brothers, Larry and Max Stover. His legacy and memories are kept with his son, Bryce (Patty) Stover; daughter, Alisha Smith (David Colon); brother, Ed (Melinda) Stover; and granddaughters, Lauren Smith and Maya Smith; other relatives and friends. “We cherish the life so beautifully lived, and a heart so deeply loved.”
