Richard J. Ciesielski

Richard was a 20-year employee of the Kroger Company, and later worked his dream job of owning a cookie delivery route for Archway Cookies. He loved to fish, ride his Harley Davidson motorcycle and talk with his neighbors on the driveway by his garage. He loved and supported his family and loved the times when family would be at his home by the pool. He will be best remembered for his humor and his full body shaking when laughing. He was a gentle, kind man who had a deep belief in his Catholic faith and an unconditional love for his wife and family.

Richard is survived by his wife of 62 years, Diane Ciesielski; daughters Cindy Harrod and Linda (Lindsay Rudd) Ciesielski; sons Paul (Donna) Ciesielski and Mark (Lisa) Ciesielski; 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Frances, sisters Patricia Madzciarczyk and Diane Jorgenson and his son in law Beel Harrod.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 am Monday February 7, 2022 at St. Elizabeth Anne Seton Catholic Church, 10650 Aboite Center Rd. Ft. Wayne, IN with visitation one hour prior. Visitation also from 2-5 pm Saturday, February 5, 2022 at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Rd, Ft. Wayne, IN. There will be a Eulogy by the family at 4:30pm.

The family has encouraged guests to wear Chicago Cubs attire in honor of Rich’s favorite team.

In lieu of flowers, donations are requested for Masses at St. Elizabeth Anne Seton Catholic Church, 10650 Aboite Center Rd. Ft. Wayne, IN 46804, or the Visiting Nurse Hospice Home, 5910 Homestead Rd. Ft. Wayne, IN 46814.
