Richard Francis Fleming Jr.

Richard “Rick” Fleming Jr. passed away on May 7, 2024, at the age of 64. He was a beloved husband, father, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who know him. Rick was born on May 6, 1960 in Worcester, MA, and grew up in Auburn, MA. He more recently resided in Fort Wayne, IN. Rick was known for his outgoing and friendly personality. Rick could and would have a conversation with anybody who would listen. His heart belonged to his family and he truly enjoyed every moment spent with them. Rick was a devoted husband to Diane, his wife of 43 years, he was very proud of his 3 sons, and truly loved being a grandfather. Besides spending time with his family, Rick had several hobbies and interests. Rick loved to garden and to cook. He especially loved cooking for other people and showing his creativity in his cooking. Rick also had a passion for music and playing guitar and found great joy in sharing this with others. Being originally from Massachusetts, Rick was a devoted fan of all Boston sports teams, but he especially loved the Boston Red Sox. He leaves behind a legacy of love, music, and a passion for cooking that will forever be remembered by his family and friends. Rick is survived by his wife Diane, 3 sons Rich (Rachel), Matt (Rebecca), and Casey, and 1 granddaughter Opal. He was also survived by his mother Anna, and siblings Stephen and Michelle. Rick was predeceased by his father Richard Fleming Sr. and his brother Joe Fleming. He will be remembered for his hardworking nature, creative spirit, and welcoming personality. Richard will be greatly missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. The family will have a private celebration of Rick’s life.
