Robert “Bob” F. Dye Jr., 88, passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2025. Robert was born on November 1, 1936, in Springfield, Ohio, to parents Robert and Jane (Judy) Dye. He was a much beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Bob married the love of his life Charlene M. (Herr) Dye on May 12, 1956. The two spent many treasured years together before Charlene’s passing on July 26, 2014. Bob proudly served in the United States Army from 1960 to 1963. Within those years, he was stationed at the Berlin Wall to stand in defense against the Soviet Union. Bob was a highly educated intellectual, with two bachelor’s degrees and two master’s degrees in education and Christian ministries. He taught at East Allen County Schools for 37 years. He was a devoted man of faith, attending First Baptist Church of New Haven. Bob loved his family and held so much pride in his heart for them. His memory will continue to live on and be cherished in their hearts. Robert is survived by his son, Craig Dye; granddaughter, Ashley (Justin) Mould; and great-grandchildren, Zoey and Raylee Mould. He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife. There will be a memorial service held by the family at a later date. Robert will forever be missed.
