Robert B. Knox

Robert B. Knox, 86, of Fort Wayne, IN passed away on Saturday, July 7, 2018. He was born to the late Harold E. and Edith (Holman) Knox on February 18, 1932 in Monroeville. Robert proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and a member of the Blue Nose. Robert was honored to fly on the Honor Flight in September 2017. He was a member of Forest Park Methodist Church and the American Legion New Haven Post 330. He enjoyed woodworking, golfing, cars, and was an avid reader. Robert was a Boy Scout Leader and a member of the Order of the Arrow. Robert is survived by his wife of 66 years, Jo Ann S. Knox; children, Brian (Crystal) Knox and Brenda (Philip) Pion; grandchildren, Alisha, Jeremy, Stephaine, and Eron; 9 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Robert D. Knox; sister, Barbara Rosswurm; and brother, James Knox. Funeral Service will be Saturday, July 14, 2018 at C.M. Sloan and Sons Funeral Home (1327 N. Wells Street, Fort Wayne, IN 46808) with visitation two hours prior. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Parkview Hospice or The Honor Flight.
