Robert Lewandowski, 80, of rural Roanoke, passed away Friday, January 31, 2014 at Harbour Assisted Living. He was born September 15, 1933 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Peter and Cecilla Lewandowski. He retired from Fort Wayne Community Schools in 1993. He was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church and a former member of Zanesville Lions Club. He was also active, in years past, in 4-H. Surviving are his children, David (Marcia) Lewandowski of Fort Wayne and Michelle (Donald E. Sr.) Helmick of Martinsville, IN; and three grandsons. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn Jo Lewandowski. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 14623 Bluffton Road, Yoder, IN 46798 with visitation 1 hour prior.
