Heaven received a new angel when Robert (Bob) H. Line, born May 5, 1943, passed away on June 10, 2020. He is survived by his wife, Elaine (Reed) Line, Bluffton; six sons – Richard Line and Christopher (Danielle) Line of Huntington, Karl (Kim) Reber of Decatur, Kregg (Shauna) Reber, of Alaska, Kirk (Valisha) Reber of Republic of Georgia, Kerby (Tracey) Pace, of Fort Wayne; two daughters – Thresa Line, of Washington, Kalisha Pace of Alaska; eleven granddaughters – ShaShawna Titus, Gabrielle Line, Ashlee (James) Smith, Kristyn (Dustin) Yascavage, Aleesha Reber, Sheyann (Andrew) Straub, Zoey Reber, Ellianna Reber, Kora Reber, Kamillah Reber and Rosie Smith; two grandsons – Brock Pace and Jessie Smith; six great-grandsons and one great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis V. and Neva (Welches) Line. After Bob graduated high school in 1961, he was hired into International Harvester in Fort Wayne, Indiana, at the age of 18. He later transferred to NaviSTAR in Springfield, Ohio, where he retired after 42 years of service and dedication. Bob was a longtime member of Moose Lodge #255 in Huntington and American Legion #111 in Bluffton. He was a lover of sports, a devoted IU basketball and Notre Dame football fan. He played men’s fastpitch softball for 15 years and coached ladies fastpitch softball for 3 years in Markle, Indiana. He enjoyed being outside and fast cars. Bob was an avid golfer and puzzle enthusiast, but above all, he was a family man and his favorite days were filled spending time with those he loved. The family will be holding a “Celebration of Life” open house on July 12, 2020 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at his family home located at 1419 W. Washington Street, Bluffton, Indiana 46714.
