

Robert J. Parrish, 95, died at the Towne House Health Care Tuesday January 3, 2012. Born in Decatur, Ind. he was a Ft. Wayne attorney retiring in 1997 after 40 yrs. Survived by a cousin Phyllis Fisher of Ft. Wayne and many beloved friends. Preceded in death by his wife of 42 yrs., Harriet (Newell) Parrish in 1996. Also preceded in death by his parents Raleigh and Ethel (Barkley) Parrish.
He graduated from South Side High School, where he was president of his class each of the four years he attended. As a senior he edited the Totem which was the school yearbook. He entered Indiana University at Bloomington, where he majored in Political Science and graduated Cum Laude. He attended Law School there and was a member of the Law Journal. He entered the practice of law in Ft. Wayne with his father and brother. He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, Maumee Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, Allen County, Indiana, and the American Bar Association and was a Fellow of American College of Trial Lawyers. President of the Allen County Bar Association. He was a member of a committee of lawyers who helped draft the Indiana Medical Mal-Practice law. Admitted to practice law before the Indiana Supreme Court, the United States Circuit Court of Appeals at Chicago and the United States Supreme Court.
Funeral services will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church 611 W. Berry St. Monday 11 A.M. January 9, 2012. Friends may call one hour prior to the services at the Church. Preferred Memorials to Trinity Episcopal Church Music Fund.
