Ronald "Ron" W. Bowser, 79, of Churubusco, Indiana passed away at home on October 14, 2025. He was born April 5, 1946 in Auburn, Indiana to the late Wayne W. and Betty R. Bowser and his childhood was spent between Helmer, Indiana; Salem, Wisconsin; and Churubusco where he graduated from High School, Class of '64. Ron met his future wife, Margaret "Peg" Kleber, at a hockey game on a blind date and were married on February 9, 1980.
Driving was Ron's passion, he devoted his life and career to trucking with Helm's Express, Burn's, and SuperValu prior to his retirement and was a devoted NASCAR and Buddy Holly fan. He was a proud member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 414 for thirty years.
He is survived by his wife, Peg Bowser; sons, Dave Bowser and Marc Bowser; siblings, Tom (Carol) Bowser, Roxy Scherer, Randy Bowser, Paul (Julia) Bowser, Melody (Mike) Bueker, and Wayne Bowser. He was preceded in death by his son, Kevin Bowser; infant grandson, Kohle Bowser; sister, Nancy Anderson; and brother, Danny Bowser.
Graveside Service is 10:30 AM on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at Eel River Cemetery, Churubusco, Indiana. Friends and family will also be received 4 - 7 PM, Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes - Covington Knolls, 8325 Covington Road, Fort Wayne.
